Inspiring Generations

Mountain View Nursery is a three-generation family owned business. Originally, Mountain View was started by Albert Grand in 1930 who grew potatoes and other vegetables to take to market. Over the years as the demand changed, he transitioned to growing trees and flowers and phased out the vegetables. Albert passed the business on to his sons, Peter Grand Sr. and Walter Grand who continued to successfully expand the tree farm production and build several greenhouses to sell their flowers to both wholesale and retail customers. Peter’s children, Roberta and Bill are the third generation of Grands to continue to offer the tradition of high quality and service that stand behind the family name.

Mountain Aire Nursery now has two growing ranges located around Whitehall, Montana. Crops are grown year round, producing bedding plants, perennials and the largest variety of Spruce trees offered in the mountain West. All of our plants are promoted with a Mountain View Nursery's grown symbol that represents quality. We stand 100 percent behind every product we sell, guaranteeing annuals through the growing season and perennials, roses and nursery stock for 2 years.
